Our Story
We started with one broken dryer and a belief that nobody should have to choose between paying rent and replacing a washer.
How It Started
In 2021, Erika fixed a dryer. Not because she was a technician — because she needed one and couldn't afford a new one. That dryer became the first appliance she ever sold.
What started as a side hustle quickly turned into something bigger. Neighbors started asking. Then their neighbors. Turns out, a lot of people in Rockford and Loves Park needed the same thing: a working appliance at a price that doesn't wreck the budget.
Today, Afrodita Appliances operates out of a full shop on North 2nd Street. Every machine that comes through the door gets tested, cleaned, and repaired by our in-house team. We don't flip appliances — we rebuild them.

Anti-Disposability
A washer shouldn't be disposable. If it can be fixed, we fix it. If it can't, we harvest every usable part before it's recycled. Nothing goes to the landfill if we can help it.
Real Repairs
We don't do cosmetic touch-ups and call it refurbished. Every machine is diagnosed, repaired with tested parts, and run through a full cycle before it goes on the floor. If we wouldn't put it in our own house, we don't sell it.
For the Community
Our customers are families, renters, landlords, and people who need an appliance this week — not in six weeks when the warranty claim goes through. We keep prices fair and we answer the phone.

Owner
Founded Afrodita in 2021. Runs the business, handles customer relationships, and keeps every machine accounted for. The person you'll probably talk to when you call.
Nick
Lead Technician
Diagnoses and repairs every machine that comes through the shop. If Nick says it runs, it runs.
Carlo
Operations & Delivery
Moves machines in and out — pickups, deliveries, and everything in between. Also the one making sure the whole operation flows.
Ana
Cleaning & Prep
Every machine that hits the showroom floor goes through Ana first. She makes sure it looks as good as it runs.
Courtnei
Team Member
The newest addition to the Afrodita crew. Courtnei keeps the shop running and the customers smiling.
